We are currently in search of a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will play a key role in overseeing mechanical design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations and standards. The job will involve working between project sites in Abu Dhabi and the head office, with a focus on high-rise and residential buildings.
1. Lead mechanical design and engineering efforts for high-rise and residential building projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
2. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into building designs effectively.
3. Provide technical expertise and guidance during the construction phase, overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
4. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure quality control.
5. Review and approve mechanical design drawings, specifications, and documents prepared by internal teams and external consultants.
6. Generate technical reports, progress updates, and documentation as required for project stakeholders.
7. Work closely with project managers to ensure project milestones are met within budget and schedule constraints.
8. Mentor junior engineers and provide training on mechanical design principles, construction techniques, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design and construction of high-rise and residential buildings.
3. In-depth knowledge of Abu Dhabi regulations and codes related to mechanical systems in buildings.
4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering judgments.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
7. Flexibility to work between project sites and the head office as needed.
8. Professional engineering license or certification is preferred.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in mechanical design and construction of high-rise and residential buildings, as well as familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulations.
